Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi my name is Bryan and I just joined a couple of days ago and I must say the forum looks execellent and I'm glad to be a part of it. I own an 80 acre property in the Adelaide hills and I'm totally reliant on alternate power and rainwater. At the moment all my power comes from solar in which I have a 3kw on the house and 2 array's in the shed. I do have an old tape drive which I've made into a wind genny but I still need to make the tower. Hopefully I'll get a F&P motor shortly so I can have a go at a F&P wind genny.

Cheers Bryan

Hi Bryan.

Welcome to the message board. There must be a lot of wind around Adelaide, a lot of home made windmills down that way.

Your system sounds impressive. Once you get that tape drive up in the air you'll catch the windmill bug, there is nothing like making your own power.
