Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Glenn/Gizmo,

A sincere "Thanks!!!" for posting this site & making the such a high level of detail available & free.

I'm especially interested in the PicAxe 08m based windmill data logger project. It is a perfect fit to my current skill-level (basic) with electronics and somewhat dated VB experience.

Certainly my long term goal is to have such a unit act as a load controller for a windmill, but in the short term it looks to be the ideal "Bench Test" instrument.

Over the next week I hope to clean-up a few jobs and clear a block of time to buckle-down and get the unit operational.

I think what appeals to me so much about this project is a) the simplicity of the interfaces, b) the clever use of a PC to off-load the heavy number crunching (with a language as acessible as VB) & lastly that it is "Open Source"...

Great Job & all the best!!!

Hi Frank

Thanks for the comments. The web site is getting there, always something new and usefull to add. I plan to get stuck into it over the Christmas break and add a lot more info.

Yeah the PicLog is a neat little tool, has got me thinking about other applications like a simple workbench test box with PC to display/log results.
