i have 4 X 12 volt 200AH batts
wired in series / parallel  (35mm square cable)  to make 24v

i have seen two ways to wire them, one with 4 links and one with 5 links
i currently have the 5 link connections.

so the question is.... what connection method is better? 4 or 5 links

See attached photo (refer to the top setup or bottom setup)

The four link method , current only needs to travel through two links.
in the 5 link method current needs to pass through three links
This assumes that all links are the same length
