Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

in the uk we get £2500 max..we only get £400 towards solar water heating we have to use special companys that charge £5000 TO £7000..they charge around £12000 for a 2kw wind turbine which you will recieve the full £2500 grant
you can get a 2kw wind turbine for around £3000 from a company but they will not be recomended by the government
so avoid the government grants and have £9500 in your pocket stupid or what..?????

$8 rebate will be scrapped and replaced by new scheme, the new scheme is expected to start on 1st Jul'09.

Essentially the new scheme will work as such >
- a Solar Power system is currently eligible for approx 25 ish Renewable Certificates (REC's)
- as of the 1st July Solar Power systems will still be eligible for REC's however they will be valued at 5 times the current 25 Rec value (eg. 100)
- if the value of REc's is approx $52 which is what they have been trading at recently this will equate to a rebate in the order of $5200

Whilst this is not quite the $8k everyone has been enjoying up till now - the means testing will be removed and businesses will also become eligible

A partition has been written for a uniform gross feed in tarif for all renewable electricity.
http://www.feedintariff.com.au/

Read it and sign the partition if you agree
