At "Mother Earth News"

It will revolutionise most tracker thinkers I guarantee!

Well Mike, I looked and looked and looked at that website but found no mention of "super simple solar tracker".

Please, when making such an announcement, include the relevant URL so we can find it easily

Its really just a cut & paste job for you whereas I spent 15min looking before I gave up

That ones been around for a very long time and still waiting for the revolution.
Playing with refrigerant is an expensive way to do a job simply. But here's a link for those who are having trouble as I did with finding and accessing it. Link here


was working fine... til the smoke got out.

Hi Gill,

These freon trackers were the go in the 80's. No electrical or mechanical components. They would sway in a wind though.

The tracker mentioned at the start of this thread is not of this type though. I think it refers to a 2 panel system, with a small panel driving a DC motor. This was prototyped with a childrens building toy. Gordon.

Look a little further, a 2inch hydraulic piston wont let it swing far!!!!
