I think I am in need of a solar controller tech that has experience in fault finding .

I think I might have inadvertently connected my solar panels reversed polarity or maybe the battery was connected reversed-it was a long time back ,when my cancer problem was worrying me sick. I could have done lots of stupid things ..

Anyhow, one completely burnt and blown-up controller plus two that I'm sus about (hope they are OK) ,I'm afraid to touch any gear nowadays ....

Anyone that could come for a drive and check it out ,well provide lunch..

Thanks

First you probably have it sorted by now.
If not check the MOV in the charger.
If its had a big voltage spike through it then the MOV may have shorted . Cut one lead and see if the charger works again .No change solder the lead together again .

Thanks Bob.

I,ve not checked the MOV in my solar controller, bought a new one ,. So that will be a jobbie for tomorrow ,or when ever?.

Thanks for that ,all these suggestions are very long lasting .
