Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

We have been using the 6REXC300 6 volt batteries for a few years. 61Kg each in groups of 8 to make a 48v bank, takes 2 people to move them into a 2 tier high steel rack. They are not to be confused with "Lead Crystal" batteries, which are only marginally better than normal sealed gel batteries.

They have a very low self discharge, and don't have to be always fully recharged like other LA batteries. We selected these as they are inside a semi sealed 12m container and have a 15-20 year life. The 2V versions are better for higher capacity setups.

Cheers
