Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.
I'm looking at getting a green loan for a grid-tie solar system in order to receive the NSW Feed in Tariff. We rent the place we are in & might move in the next couple of years. I can't seem to find any info on what happens then. Does anyone know if there are there any issues with moving the panels & inverter to a new premises? Of course I understand we will have to pay for removal & re-installation & fix any damage to the old.

mmmm no green loan unless you own the place as far as I can tell.
Only alternative is gurilla solar.
Not that I recommend it but perhaps a power jack grid tie inverter and a couple of panels.......
Lots of issues moving the gear, cost of sparkies will kill you.
Best option is to hit up the landlord with my post on the BEST solar deal, get him to get the green loan to pay for it and tell him for giving him the AWESOME advice, you will not pay any more rent but when you're gone....
He can charge the next tennant or if its for sale then he will make more $$ as it has solar power.
Under the new rebate its based on premises you own so theoretically if you owned 10 units you could claim the rebate 10 times......
certainly food for thought for those of us (not me) fortunate enough to have a few rental properties.
