g'day everyone,

Im just about to buy 2 new 95a/h deep cycle batteries and i want to put them
into parrell wiring from the regulator.

1)will my 80 watt solar panels charge both batteries at the same time in parrell?

or

2)do i have to separate both batteries to recharge individually?

3)would a new regulator with mppt be better to charge both batteries
at the same time? over the basic regulator that came with my system ?

Hi Bob

I am assuming that the batteries are the same.

1. yes

2. no

3. A MPPT regulator will give you more charge from your panel but your basic regulator will work OK but MPPT will put 20-30 percent more into the battery say from 4.5 amps to 6 amps.

If you go to the expense of getting a MPPT regulator be sure to get one with extra capacity so you can expand your system later on.
