I know there are a lot of people who are frustrated/disgusted at Greg marketing a product before it is available to purchase.

However from the website.

http://www.greenandgoldenergy.com.au/

“The first public SunCube™ viewing will be at the Green City Festival (Elder Park, Adelaide, Sunday, 17 Feb 2008, 10am – 5pm)”

The rumour is that there will be sales reps present and they will be selling domestic quantities to the public.

Some may suggest that it would be unwise to pay a large deposit.

Isn't this the same guy who said he would not sell to the
public, as his Corporate sugar daddy's were investing
millions in him? Or something to the effect that public
funding was not required...

Smelt funny on New Inventors, still stinks.

Why is that so have alook
Please register my interest in buying SunCubes in one of GGE's SunCube™ solar farms

This is a automated email address, date and time collector.

You will not get a reply until we start to build our first solar park

So why isnt anyone get reply now instead first solar park and still no information on power supply as look at their SunCubes no wire or power outlet connection anywhere on their site that make me wonder .

Ah, so they are building a spam email list.
Wonder if they'll sell the list and then sell
the cubes to the list. Double the money !! :)

I must admit I don’t have you mind reading ability so I don’t know for certain what they planning.

It does seem Greg Watson has changed is business plan several times.

With the wisdom of hindsight perhaps he should have taken his inventors award and not promoted things until he had a product that was ready to produce with a finalised business plan.

If the product is capable of what is claimed it should be good.

Unfortunately there is a lot more to running a successful business than just having a good product.

How well run his company will be who knows.

I wish I could be in Adelaide to view the Solar Rotisserie
(unfortunately Greg couldn't even organise a chook raffle)

Will there be any PROOF that it puts out 300 Watts?
Will there be any Proof it produces 700KWH per year?
Will there be any proof that it will work for more than a few days before it goes POOF!
OF COURSE NOT.

Zolar!!! this is the major Australia & Pacific Distributor!

Oh Lordy

I attended and saw the suncube it was tracking on the sun but didn’t seemed attached to any thing there was no way of assessing its performance.

It seemed to move every about 90 seconds and move in a tiny spiral.

The person I spoke to suggested it was a prototype.

Presently it seems that Zolar are not taking orders.

Nobody I spoke to was prepared to make a commitment to when there will be product to sell.

Equally there is no way to tell if the backlog of orders is 10 or 10,000,000.

Subject: [FG]: SMOT Refunds

Hi All,

I need your help to rebuild my list of those who ordered & paid for SMOT
kits. I lost my original files but do have bank records with dates &
amounts I paid in or came in via overseas funds transfers.

I intend to refund ALL the money whether you want it back or not but I
need you to send me (via the private email below) the date & amount you
sent me. I can then put names to the dates.

I would prefer to do a direct bank to bank transfer but I can do US or
other currency bank cheques if you prefer.

Thanks for your help as I really do need to get your money back.

I do apologize for the delay but I just haven't been able to afford to do
the refunds until now.

Subject: [FG]: Smot & Dmec Flux Gate

Hi All,

Much water has gone under the bridge since the SMOT days.

Basically I was trying to do too many things at once, lost my focus & ran
out of time & money. My consulting business suffered from the excessive
time I spend trying to get those damn SMOT bases working. I sought
outside financial assistance (I was planning to get a injection mould for
the bases made) & ending up losing the lot when one day I found the door
to my "Lab" had the locks changed. There were failures on both sides as I
couldn't get my RMOD (the water wheel like one) to deliver any real power
and I never received any of the scheduled payments. We finally settled out
of court, with them paying my costs. I was told my "Lab" was sold to
recover costs. I did see the auction papers. I never received a cent and
came out of the process about $30k Aus worst off. In equivalent US terms
that is about $60k US based on both cost of living & conversion rates. Not
a pleasant experience. It has taken me up to now to get somewhat back on
my feet as I also lost most of my consulting clients. At 54, I'm now
retired, renting, making a living by day trading on the Aussie stock
market and still driving a 15 year old car which needs upgrading

I'm pleased to see Jean-Louis' site with a independent verification of
SMOT excess energy by Professor Pierre Clauzon & his team. Seems 424
uJoules was not enough to get a good rollaround. Wish I had thought to do
this test myself!

http://jnaudin.free.fr/html/smotnrgt.htm

I now believe I know why the SMOT worked and I'm currently doing a lot of
FEMM (much better than Quick Field) based sims to develop my asymmetric
DMEC (Direct Magnetic Energy Conversion) Flux Gate which shows (at least
on the sims) greater inward attractive forces than outward dragback
forces. Like the SMOT there are NO coils, but unlike the SMOT, the device
is based on a moving magnet and linked stationary DMEC Flux Gates which
will allow true rotary motion. All the sim work is based on multi linked
gates.

Hers is a link for a Excel screen shot of the forces developed on a DMEC
rotor magnet as it moves from the exit of one DMEC linked flux gate to the
exit of other.

http://www.egroups.com/files/jlnlabs/Dmec/DmecForces.gif
(yahoo groups jlnlabs subscription required)

The first 3 results / curves are for finer and finer mess densities and
the last (Blue) is for a flux gate twice the length of the others.
Notice how the force transitions on the negative to positive portion of
the curves have a low, flattish positive portion and the positive to
negative transition is quite sharp. The OU? effect occurs in the low but
flattish portion.

Nothing has been built yet, no kits will be sold. If the device does
work, Scott & Hal at Earth Tech will be my first stop. Maybe Jed & Eugene
would like to be present. I have asked Jean-Louis & David Squires to do a
replication once I get something working.

PS: Please keep the names, dates & amounts coming so I can fill in the
holes & get your money refunded.

That was Watson's first scam (that I know of)
He is very predictable.
First, rip off an old idea and claim it as your own.
Second, invent phoney test results.
Third, suck in mug investors to pay for
"product development".
When it all goes belly up, blame a conspiracy of evil forces.

Take a tip from Watson,
Don't steal....that's illegal
Just launch a scheme like sunball/suncube and take investors money "legally"

"never give a sucker an even break"

Oh lordy lordy!

I have been past the greenandgold energy premises in Glynde. I have not been in the door, but have seen sun cubes on the roof[apparently not working] and units in the show room.

I went past many times a day over a 2 week period. The suncubes on the roof were never in operation during this time.

I am surprised that if the suncubes are so good that the units on the roof of the company would not be in operation and providing power back to the grid as a green example.

I did notice that there were 9 distinct discoloured areas on the back of the suncubes. This is presumably where the modules are located. This would indicate that the modules had tracked the sun at some point.

Does anyone know of the present business activity of greenandgold.

Gordon.

Hi Gordon,

The 10 SunCubes on our roof are currently being upgraded with the latest Emcore receiver modules and should be back operational in the next few days.

As for business activities GGE has 6 current SCIG licenses who are at various stages of building their SunCube manufacturing facilities.

As you may know the SunCube uses a CPV receiver module from Emcore. Emcore have had problems getting their CPV receiver module manufacturing line operational due to the late arrival of some equipment. As of June 2008 the line went operational.

We finally qualified their production CPV receiver module in July / August 2008 and are now in the process of releasing the SunCube engineering data set to our SCIG licenses so they can get their manufacturing operations moving.

It has taken us, Emcore + GGE + SCIG licenses longer than we expected to get here but we finally made it and the Mark 9 SunCube will be in the market very soon.

We recently did a demo and engaged in a open discussion of the Mark 7.5 SunCube to both the SA and NSW branches of the Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Society. Our home page

http://www.greenandgoldenergy.com.au

has a photo of the NSW presentation and the Power Point presentation I gave.

Why not stop in for a coffee? I can show you a Mark 7.5 SunCube but not yet the latest Mark 9 as it is going through the patenting process where we expect to get in excess of 20 patents.

I was not expecting such a prompt reply!

Anyway, I would think that for comparison purposes that upgrades would be compared with existing prototypes, to compare performance in the same conditions.

Was I just unlucky that when I passed greengoldenergy that the suncubes on the roof were not in operation? When was the last time that the units on the roof were in operation? What is the maximum system voltage for a suncube installation?

It would be interesting to compare the output of suncubes and say Sunpower modules at the same location and similar installed capacity in a typical mass market installation like a grid connected system.

Hi Gordon,

The roof units are part of our R&D facility. They track or not depending on what we need.

We are currently investigating if we can install 100 SunCubes on our roof to create a small SunCube Energy Farm. This facility would, like the 10 already on our roof, require council approval, so it may take some time to happen. It would deliver more than enough kWhs to power GGE.

Vdc Mpp for a SunCube is 23 - 24 Vdc. If you put 20 in series you could get close to 500 Vdc. The number of SunCubes in a string is calculated as that which gets the total Vdc Mpp of the string into the middle of the inverters MPPT tracking range. Then you parallel up more of the same sized strings to get to the inverters max current.

On the roof we also have a BP160 flat panel that we use for comparisons.

Good Morning ,,Gordon and Greg..

I've been sitting on the fence on this topic--there's been a bit of stirring ,,,but knowing Gordon personally,I'd reckon if you Greg wish to clear the topic ,then Gordon has the technical and practical ability to post an un-biased report.

Get him over for that cup of coffee --- A lot of us will be waiting on his report
Hope you agree,

Hi Guys,

As I said before we are well behind our release schedule as Emcore had equipment supply problems getting their CPV receiver module production line operational. This was reported in their quarterly reports. This state of the art, world first, CPV receiver module production line is now 100% operational.

In June 2008 we finally received production samples of the CPV receiver modules we ordered 10 months earlier. Over the last two months we have integrated the CPV receiver module into the new Mark 9 SunCube design and are now in the final stages of our qualification process.

We expect this to be completed very soon and the SunCube Mark 9 engineering data set released to our SCIG licenses, including Zolar Distributors who are working to get their SunCube manufacturing line up and running.

This has been a frustration time for all but doing something like the SunCube and the CPV receiver module required breaking a lot of new ground. Anyway that is all past us now.

As for Gordon visiting, that is possible but I can't show him the latest Mark 9 as we are in the process of getting over 20 patents. I can show him the Mark 7.5, which I demoed to the ANZSES at Adelaide and NSW. He can see the 10 Mark 9s on the roof tracking the sun as soon as we finish a upgrade early this week.

Hi Don,

We were advised by Emcore that we would have samples of their CPV receiver module in Nov 2007 and production in Dec 2007. We finally received acceptable samples in June 2008. The delay was due largely to late production equipment supply by 2 of Emcore's suppliers.

Early on we gave SunCube availability dates based on Emcore's dates, then we just stopped giving dates and have virtually sat on our hands. Burning cash as we waited for the Emcore CPV receiver module samples to arrive and for Emcore to advise their CPV receiver module production was up, running and producing 100% functional and reliable CPV receiver modules.

That event has happened and we are now moving forward as rapidly as we can.

We do apologize for the delays. This has been a frustrating time for Emcore, GGE, the SCIG and our potential customers.

I was expecting to see at least one operating mark9 suncube on greenandgoldenergy roof, considering the good conditions for solar testing yesterday. Alas, no activity on the roof. I doubt the units have been upgraded yet. The units appear to be in the same position and look in the same condition as my last look. I could not see any shiny new ones.

I am surprised at the location of the company office. The next street over is named SUNBEAM. This might be a luckier street for solar development.

Gordon.

Hi Gordon,

Have a look now. We have finished the internal upgrades we were doing. They may still stop from time to time as the 10 units are part of our R&D test facility.
