This is quite interesting:

Boeing/NASA's SFD aircraft design...

Looks like an interesting design.
I expect all our aircraft and aviation members to throw their 2c into the ring now.
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

Just like the fashion industry, What's old is new again.
During the transition from bi-planes to mono that was common. The "T" tail is old too.
