Hi all. I found a box of old VHS video-tapes I recorded around 20 years ago with this series on it - well, up to around series 7 or 8. Recorded off the TV and analog, so poor sound and even worse picture! I only now remember how excellent this series was - I had forgotten all about it, till I popped in the first VHS tape. (after hooking up one of my spare video recorders) I've been looking for DVD's of this series, but cannot find them. Some links reveal DVD's for certain episodes, but most of THOSE are listed as N/A. I don't suppose anyone here knows where I can buy the DVD's? I would quite like to buy a box-set of every episode they produced. Any help appreciated. Smoke makes things work. Hi Grogster, the DVDs seem to be available on ebay. Scrapheap Challenge Good luck, lots of shows seem to be only available for streaming these days, but having them on DVD is better in my way of seeing theings Pete |

Thank you! Should have thought to look on ebay, but my brain was not programmed to look for DVD's there. Prices are not bad either. Such a brilliant show. But then, cos I play around with BMC cars every weekend, I love that kind of engineering stuff. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

I remember watching the series, some interesting stuff at times, sometimes it reminds me of the things I have done already, putting together all sort of junk that are totally unrelated and make it work. This is the sort of stuff these younger generation should get into instead of sitting on there ever increasing fat arse's they could have some fun instead. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

Agreed. Engineering like this can not only be informative, but can be very entertaining as well! Although my old VHS copies off the TV are OK, I would much prefer a better quality picture and sound, and the ones that Godoh linked me to are reasonably priced, so I am looking at buying some of those.
