My local electric company (Midwest Energy) They have what they call their renewable energy park at their office compound. It has some solar panels and a wind turbine.
They are telling us that they have had Two or three turbines fail. They are telling us its not cost effective.
They do not produce any electricity to put in the grid system, its all for show and half truth's.

You may want to look at two articles in the September http://countrylines.com/ Renewable Energy Lessons pg 4 & Wind and Basic Math pg 10.
If you notice pg8 Midwest is up in front of the public service commission again!
