Thats a good price for the acme thread. Sounds like you got the same acme nuts as I did, very loose and rough finish.

I found a fantastic CAM package, called CamBam. Its windows based, includes basic CAD functions, and supports a range of machining processes including engraving, pocketing, drilling, etc. Exports the G code to industry standards And its free ( at this stage )

Yes, great software from Andy and a one penny touch probe.
