Can unlaquered wire be used for stators for wind turbines? If not, why?

Unlaquered wire would make a very good electro magnetic brake.

Is this your intended use?

Probably not much good if you want useful electrical power output.

This looks like a language misunderstanding to me. "unlaquered" implies 'uninsulated', hence the reply above.

Did you *really* mean bare, unisulated wire to wind the stator with? If so, why do you want to use that wire?

Yes. I was wondering if a bare wire could be used to make my coils for a rotor. From what Ive read so far and trust me Ive read alot in the past few days regarding wind mills! I see that all of you are using insulated wire by means of a coated wire to make your coils from. Im wondering, why not just use bare uninsulated wire? Does it have to do with shorting out the coil? Im trying to understand it all. I feel as though Im trying to cram for an college exam!

Sticks, rather than reading about wind mills start reading about electricity. Unless you are just pulling our legs you give the impression that you do not have *any* clue about electrical things.
Like it is with babies, learn to crawl, progress to walking and then tackle running.
You can't really expect us to teach you the very basics here, there are more suitable places for that.
