Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me. |

Anyone else getting this google popup ads that cover the middle of the screen? The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ

Yes, in Opera. I had been allowing ads on TBS but when that started I tried to block them but those Google ads defeat the Opera ad blocker.

I'm using both Mozilla and Opera in Linux. Mozilla shows the ads on the sides and the bottom, which is perfectly fine. Opera, after I turned off ads as shown here: https://www.ghostery.com/blog/opera-block-ads-on-search-page-results shows no ads at all. I turned the ads back on in Opera and they fill the same spaces as in Mozilla. My version of Opera is: Opera One(version: 110.0.5130.49) (for Linux)

Yeah found a new advert type, turned on by default, in the google adsense setup. Adjusted some setting that hopefully with disable them. I dont mind the ads down the sides and top, so long as they dont block the forum content. My ads are usually for something I've already bought, like 2 weeks ago I jumped online and bought a new carbi for my lawn mower, and now all I see it adverts for mower carburetors. Thanks Gizmo, so far it appears to have fixed it.
