Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Based on a John Deere type, I wanted to make a usable electric garden tractor. Started with the flanges of the rear wheels.

The scale is approximately 1:5 so that the tractor can really be used for work in the garden.

In my tractor model actually fits a water-cooled 4-cylinder engine. That's why I thought about a 4 cyl. solenoid. I started with a 1 cylinder test setup.

Nice work, solenoids do work and the timing could be from the crankshaft etc, but how are you going to limit the power to them, PWM speed comptroller or something better?
Ah found it, you used an electric wheel barrow motor instead. Edited 2024-01-22 12:21 by RevlacCheers Aaron Off The Grid

It is fun to do all kinds of work with this little tractor. I want to mount a sickle bar mower with double knife.

What also comes in very handy is my cart with a low loading floor.
