Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi!

Can anybody help me? I can't leave the Picromite environment when I started it from console! CTRL-Z (or CTRL-Y - it's a german keyboard) doesn't work!
CTRL-Z only works if I run ./mmbasic in a console under the graphical window (startx)!?

Is there a way to use the whole monitor with Picromite (all text is in a relative small window on my screen...)

Thanks!

Frank

...Does anyone know what happened to the forum in the last few days? I have only been seeing new messages since today and can post something, the forum was closed for me since november 13th and only messages until the 13th were visible. How can it be that countless new messages have been written since then??

Text size is easy

I don't know why ctrl-Z isn't working when logged in from a non-windowed console. I do everything headless over SSH so this isn't something I ever use. I'll post a question on the Pi forum but it isn't usually very helpful

@Frank,

I have had continuous access to the forum over the last 10 days with new messages, posts from myself and others appearing every day. Sounds like it may be your ISP with the issue.

Cheers,
panky.

@Matherp: Thanks for your effort! I think the textsize is not really the problem - I can use only a little bit more then a quarter of the screen for text! The usable size is as big as the unscaled window under startx... - the rest of the screen remains black but is usable with graphic commands...
I use my Pi's always with keyboard, mouse and monitor...

@Panky: When I logged in, I got the message that I can't write any messages because the forum is being maintained or because a storm is coming... ???!!!
What did you mean with "ISP"?

Hi Frank,
I can't anything say to the Picromite issue.
ISP = Internet Service Provider.
I didn't have any problems to read and write to to TBS in the last days.

Hi Michael,

this is very strange!!! I tried it from two different locations with two different computers and two different providers...

Hi,

it seems I'm the only one using the Picromite with a HDMI monitor...
Now I can use about 2/3 of my HD monitor (1920 × 1080) with:

"option display 60,132"

@Peter: Is it possible to increase the second value to about 200??? - this would be enough to use the complete monitor for text!

CTRL-Z works when I started NANO before (then I can leave NANO and MMBasic with CTRL+Z)! Then I get my "pi@raspberrypi:~/mmbasic $" but when I try "sudo reboot" or "sudo halt" I get "plymouth-reboot.service" or "plymouth-halt.service" and the system hangs...
