Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

There is an updated version of the Micromite firmware which can be downloaded from http://geoffg.net/micromite.html (scroll to the bottom of the page).

This is a minor upgrade released to fix a few bugs and officially add the UNI/O driver and the Windows version of MMBasic to the distribution. More details are in the Change Log which is included in the firmware download. There has been no significantly new functionality so the manuals have had only minor updates.

There were two MM+ bugs that I was not able to reproduce. One reported by Peter Bennett (radio buttons updating incorrectly) and the other by Grogster (Invalid font error). I have gone through the code and found and fixed the likely cause in both cases but, because I cannot test the original issue, I cannot be sure. So, if the fault reappears please let me know (hopefully with some code that demonstrates the problem).

Geoff

my initial (brief) tests have shown no problems - a big thanks from myself and everyone else for a most welcome christmas present geoff!

from the change log: "Some of the internal logic of MMBasic has been rewritten to be more efficient and compact". mmbasic has come a long way over the last few years, and from here onwards i suspect that we will see more refactoring and small incremental improvements than anything else. this is a testament to the quality of the firmware geoff has created.

hopefully microchip will also chip in, and deliver us an MX190 for 2018!

cheers,
rob :-)

Agreed!

I have not loaded the new firmware yet, but will do so in the next couple of days.

Great work Geoff.

Did a quick update and test on MMV2 2.8" LCD Backpack using Super Clock. Works a treat.

The great work you do to create a fantastic platform that others on TBS make available and help with us newcomers cannot be thanked enough.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hi Geoff,

thanks for your efforts ... but I fear the "Passed Array!-bug is still alive.
And this too.

Greetings, Geoff.

There's still a bug in fun_acos() (Functions.c): there's a missing "targ = T_NBR;" statement at the end of that function...

Geoff,

The link to Peter's latest version for the MMX takes you to an older thread that has 5.03.21 as the latest. Hunting through the forum, I can find at least 5.04.06 for the MMX here - is there any way Peter's updates could also be hosted on your site so the latest version for all the Micromites are in one place?

Thanks again,
Doug.
