Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Palcal, WORST heat ( apart from Cooktown ) I have ever experienced was Townsville!! Working on building Yabulu refinery in early 1970,s. Ride Norton 850 across the "causway" then north to Yabulu. Only did about 60-70 MPH to Yabulu, but was ringing wet on arrival. Lived in Darwin after Tracy, NOT as bad as Townsville. Cooktown however !!!!! PHEW it can get bloody hot there!!! First time in my life I have seen humidity of 100%, and not raining. ( Cheap instrument though) Shirt and long pants, steel cap boots didnt lie though !!!, and that was before sun came up!!!!!

edit: I did live on Mitchell street, so SOMETIMES we had a sea breeze, in Townville.Edited by joebog1 2018-01-18
