Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I posted this on the PCB Manufacturing forum but thought I might get help here:

I have a double sided PCB in Diptrace and I am trying to link the ground pads of the 3T regs to the copper fill on the bottom of the PCB with vias for thermal purposes. Every time I try to achieve this I get errors in the DRC. Can anyone help with the right procedure to accomplish this?

If you place a via it is not connected to any net.
The way i do it is to put a bunch of via's next to the board.
Add them to the ground 'net'. (right click -> add to net)
I then place them one by one where i want them.
If you need more, just copy/paste them.

Thanks Jean, your advice lead me to success. My copper pour was not attached to a net, when attached all seems good.

My success was short lived when I connect the pour to net 0, I lose my bottom tracks so back to the drawing board.

Looks like your nets are not good anymore.
It can happen when you place a trace or via and you get a message if you want to combine nets or something similar.
To restore that you can synchronize your nets again with your schematics.
Under menu 'File' you choose 'Renew design from schematics'. First time you will need to choose the schematics file. After that you can use a keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+U.
