I got two 8 channels set up (one here, one at my place) and they both have the option of auto arming some or all channels at various times- does yours have that function (I found mine buried in the individual channel selections menus, had to select each channel and set each one to its time, then once set, there was a tab in the main settings to turn them all on or off on the timer |

Was thinking it would be a completely stand alone system. Then that could plug into the Main Security and/or NVR. Really want bedroom only notification they are present so we can act. Have some Constabulary come and join them or meet them up the street. Amazing how brazen these young theives are getting. 3 reports locally in the past 2 weeks where they were found present inside someones house. Our's came prepared with a screwdriver & also stole a Butane blow torch. Apparently that's another tool of choice. You heat the window frame where the plasic lock catch is, and as it softens/melts, you can then simply slide it open. |

Warpspeed: I'll second that and it doesn't have to be that big either. Several years ago my wife and I rescued a dog from the RSPCA. He was a part staffie/cattle dog cross and a loveable little fella to boot. One particular night my wife and I were asleep in bed with the dog asleep on his bed beside us. Suddenly he was up making one hell of a commotion and tearing down the hallway. It turned out that some scumbag had entered our house while we were asleep and our dog had heard him/her. He/she had grabbed a bag by the door that contained nothing of value and because of the dog had quickly decamped the area. We had mobile phones, laptops, wallets etc that the scumbag would have got had it not been for our dog. Needless to say he got a big juicy steak for breakfast that morning. So yes I would recommend going down the dog route. |

Pretty much all of that, Motion, Line, Intrusion & Face detection. All have their individual arming schedules & linkage methods per camera. It's a Hikvision 7616Ni-I2/16P. But intrusion detection for example, works way better than Motion Re false alerts, but can be triggered but sharp shadows when the sun comes out from the clouds. Not an issue for night. Still learning the ropes of best configs after over 6 months. It has 4 alarm in puts & 1 out, which I could also incorporate with my "Bait" devices. |
