Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I would like to share a new version of my 8 port controller PCB
The actual 8 port extension chip have been removed to make a bit more space
for some new additions so i have now called it "just" the uMite controller board.

This new PCB was prompted by my (Caravan) Battery Status Meter but is in no way restricted to that project.

New Options
Backlight control or Fixed
UNIO eeprom
Input Supply Voltage divider
Half Vcc Voltage divider

"Microbridge" serial interface/programmer

Based on MX170 SOIC device
ILI9341 LCD display support
RTC module
ESP8266 wifi module
General 8 Pin connector, 6 general mixed Input/Output/Analog plus 3.3v and Gnd
Ext I/O 8 pin connector, console , spi, I2c
ICSP connector
Console connector

Mounting for two regulator types
Pololu PSU module (3.3v), you can choose to use best one for your needs
ie stepup, stepdown, or stepup/stepdown variety.

"Tiny DC to DC" Reg variable output 2.5-5V (set to 3.3v) Input 2.5-28V

Gerbers etc are here

I received my PCBs back and have now built one up. Really pleased with this one,
it is the 4th version in the series (its has taken me that long to get the inclusions
correct and rid of silly errors, even saying that I still have a silk screen error!)
The "Microbridge" addition is fantastic, thanks to all.
For my projects I think it is now a very useful little board.
I can understand why Big Mick, Grogster and others are such prolific PCB makes , its
really addictive

Shown here without the LCD, with WiFi integration, UnI/O, backlight control, Tiny DC/DC PSU installed 4.5-28v 1A

I interface to most of my projects via a WiFi interface I have developed over last 2 years, data retrievable via HTTP,UDP,email,IOT etc, two way messaging/control there is also a simple Web I/F if required, my Weather Station shown.
