I have MM+ E100 with 7" ssd1963 display. I have no blue output, red is green and green is red. I'm sure I've read a post on this problem but can't find. Any help appreciated.

I see you found the other thread.....

With 7" LCD, I assume you are NOT trying to run that setup from a USB port?
It will very likely not be able to supply the required current - the 7" LCD, once you factor in the back-light, can suck quite a bit of juice as standard, and many a USB port don't like that.

So, assuming you ARE using an external 5v supply capable of 2A or so, there has to be a wiring issue between the E100 and the LCD. Are you using "Dupont" type wires to link the 7" LCD to the E100, or have you got the E100 plugged directly into the back of the LCD? If the latter, make sure that the E100 board is NOT touching anything on the LCD panel PCB, or that might be causing a short and creating issues. A bit of cardboard taped to the bottom of the E100 board would protect against that problem

Do you have another LCD you can try? Not all LCD's are perfect from factory....

I think I will whip up a quick simple diagnostic PCB with LED's that people can plug into the LCD port, and it will tell them if all the connections are there or not by running a simple pin-sequencer(with LCDPANEL DISABLE run first, to return the pins to standard I/O pins). You are not the first to see this, and it only takes one connection to be wrong for the display to NOT work as expected, so perhaps a little LED light on the subject might help yourself and others.

Thanks grogster. Yes, am using ext. supply and using point to point wiring as my buydisplay TFT pins don't match. I have just wired to a 5" display and on this one red & blue are reversed, green fine! Have I just lucked out on 2 bad displays, maybe. Will look forward to your test module.

Another note: connected 7" display back, hadn't changed option lcdpanel from ssd1963_5 to ssd1963_7 yet and noticed 7" now has same characteristics as 5" i.e. red, blue reversed, green fine
