In the November '81 ETI page 43 there is a reference to mechanical drawings, PCB artwork and artwork for the keyboard. These were not published in the magazine, you had to send away for them. I have contacted Silicon Chip who now own the rights to the ETI articles. I received a quick response from them saying: "I am sorry but we cannot provide those documents. We do have a full archive of ETI issues but no supplementary documents of the type you mention. " They have been very helpful and will be posting a request for the additional documents in their "Letter" section of the August issue for me. I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have the documents described in the Nov'81 issue for the ETI-660? MECHANICAL DRAWINGS, PCB, ETC. Detailed mechanical drawings, pc board artwork and Scotchcal artwork. Thanks, Steve |

Hi Steve, There is a discussion (of sorts) that is only about 5 years old that you might be able to get some help from. Discussion Hope that helps.. Apart from that you can still see the artwork in the mag article so you could regenerate it all (Big job) with a modern PCB program.. You can also always `re-jig’ by using the schematics to redo a totally new PCB for it.. That would probably be a lot easier than trying to re-lay the, obviously, hand laid out tracks etc.. You could probably halve the size of the PCB itself. Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

Hi Mike, I agree that recreating the artwork would be a large undertaking. This why I am hoping that someone has the original artwork. But it is starting to look like I will have to create a new PCB, as you suggest. I'm working on putting the schematic in Kicad. The fun part is tracing where the unlabeled IC connections run. Thanks, Steve |

Hi Steve Try https://www.americanradiohistory.com/ETI_Magazine-AU.htm The 660 was covered in May 81, June 81, Oct 81 and Nov 81 The Oct 81 edition has schematics for the PCB. You may or may not find this useful. The HUG-1802 was my first computer, even great that I built it myself. I didn't go with the push switches on the PCB, but used a basic hex pad and a couple of switches just for the step and reset. Wish I kept it now. Hindsight is a great thing. All the best with your endeavour thou. Ross |

Hi Steve, I have an unused PCB for the ETI-660 looking for a home. Was leftover stock from years ago when I worked in an electronics kits shop. Yours if you want it - I’m in Australia but happy to post wherever. Cheers! Gary |

Hi Gary, I had given up on finding the drawings. I am just back from the Vintage Computer Festival East, in New Jersey, and have new vigor to get the ETI-660 built. If the PCB is available I would gladly pay any shipping costs. Regards, Steve |
