Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all

My first post tho I've been lurking for a while.
I ordered some bits from micromite.org on 24th May, but not having received anything I tried various e-mails to WhitWizard whom I believe runs the company, to no avail. I've searched and he last seems to have been on the forum back at the beginning of May.

Does anybody know- is he ok? on holiday maybe?
My order isn't urgent or anything-

wondering what the situation is..

Howdy. Welcome to the forums.

I also have not heard from him for a few weeks and was wondering the same thing. I will try to raise him on the emails I have for him. He usually frequents these forums, so I expect that perhaps he is on holiday and has no email access. That would be my guess.

I hope so too.
The last time I got an email from him was late May when I looked in my emails.

For privacy reasons, I can't give his email out here on the forums. I have emailed him though, and asked if he can check into this thread when he is able. Lets see how long it takes.

Hi folks - yes I'm just about ok.

Without going into all the detail I have a good friend who is on his last few days thanks to the dreaded cancer.
I am spending whatever time I can with him which obviously has a knock-on affect to all my other things I normally do.

I promise to get any outstanding orders out asap but hopefully you can appreciate my situation that is causing some delay.

Lots of TBS stuff to catch up with - really missed it (and too tired in the evenings to even take a quick glance).

Stay safe everyone (this situation has really made me appreciate how precious life really is) . . . .

All the best to you and your friend WW.

My dad passed away last week from brain cancer, so he is at peace now after a tough 6 months journey. Everything else takes second place to doing anything for those you can to help make their time more comfortable, even from just being there for them.

Sorry to hear that, WW. Look after yourself.

@ Azure - my dad died of cancer too. It gets SO MANY people, and it does not discriminate. Old or young, you can get it, and I have lost a few good buds to it. My mum was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer, but they were able to operate on it. She seems fine now, but I enjoy every day I have with her, as you never know if these bloody things will come back.

Indeed. Since dad died of cancer(and some of my chums), I have been of the opinion that you should do what you enjoy NOW. Don't wait, as that proverbial bus of cancer could knock you down at any time. Live for the day!

Hi WhiteWizard

Sorry to hear about your friend.
Its important we care for each other- especially when in a crisis.
My needs are trivial by comparison.
Take all the time you need
Its good to know you are well.
