Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Anyone used the Atmel IDE, Studio 7 ?
I gather that is what is used to program Atmel chips in general - or do I use MPLAB (which would save a learning curve) somehow ?

If you're using Microchip AVRs I would highly recommend using the Arduino IDE. Designed from the ground up to be easy to learn and there's a near infinite amount of free support out there on the interweb.
