How it started Few years ago I build a mono maximite. I even managed to get the exact same housing as Geoff used. It worked fine, but it ended up in a box. When I heard Peter had problems with measuring temperatures, I decided to donate the mono maximite to him. But as soon as I shipped it, I felt regret, and decided to order a color maximite (CGCOLORMAX2). Still having memories of the 80's. But the CGCcolormax is extremely flat, and the idea rose to build it into a keyboard (I most likely am not the only one that came up with this idea). Took some time before I found a PS2 keyboard on a flee market (in Holland USB keyboards are common for at least 15 years), a dirty and cluttered one that I purchased for 50 cents. After taking it appart, washing the keys, together with my wife's bra, and some cleaning of the inside, I was ready to drill holes. Actually it was easier to melt holes with the soldering iron. And Huray, in memories of the 80's a keyboard shaped home computer (running of a powerbank in the photo). PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

Nice one! Looks great at the rear where you have cut/melted the holes for the connectors. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
