Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all,

I managed to set up my Explore 100 as a self-contained computer (v5.04.08). However, it showed the banner with some characters corrupted. Time to apply the CPU 80 fix.

With the E100 communicating with MMEdit I typed CPU 80 and pressed enter.
Presto! the LCD cursor jumped to the left edge and displayed the command prompt. The PS2 keyboard worked perfectly. Nothing corrupted.

Now, how do I make this permanent? if I press the reset button on the E100 it reverts to its original state with corrupted characters.

Louis

Thanks Phil.

I'll try it. I wasn't aware 5.04.09 was released.

Regards,
Louis
