Some time ago I developed this PCB for the MMX.

It has an on-board Microbridge and breaks out all pins on the processor as well as supporting a directly mounted 2.8" ILI9341 display which it uses for the SDcard slot. The PCB supports PWM backlight control of the display.

If there is sufficient demand I can do a version the for 64-pin MM+ and will of course make the gerbers and design files freely available. PCBs in this size (95x52mm) cost less than USD0.50 each from PCBGoGo (+ postage costs) and I am sure WW or others may be willing to supply bare PCBs and possibly finished boards if required.

Note, this is specifically a backpack PCB for mounting the ILI9341 display. If you don't need the display then Grogster's excellent E64 is already readily available.

Amazing timing.

I just sent Geoff a PM asking if he thought there was any use in doing a MM+64 BP V2 (with 1455) and if he was OK with the idea. I was contemplating dipping my toes in again (it's been a while) and doing a PCB for it.

Peter,

While I think that idea may be of interest, your existing MM+ backpack design offers significant advantages:-

-both ili and ssd interface connectors
-rtc module capability
- arduino shield connectors for expansion

Although a little larger (and I guess a bit costlier), this is a really good and universal board - for those of you who have not seen it, visit www.circuitgizmos.com and have a look at CGMICROBOARD2 which uses Peter's public design.

The only additional features that would greatly increase the versatility of this board would be a connector for the ILI9481 (Pi 4" lcd) which is comming down in price and perhaps a connector for an ESP8266. I realise that space may limit the feasability of both these options.
