Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Apparently there is a Y2K type bug for some GPS units. The bug will take effect in early April.

So I guess that means your GPS could say "you are 20 light years away from your destination" ?
The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now.

it happens every-so-often... wasn't a problem before but GPS is now so much more widespread. sloppy code (as always) is the downfall. We will have to wait and see I guess.

It amazes me that the GPS spec is so limited... for a handful of bits. I know bandwidth was expensive in the 70's but it was military and they always have $$$ Or maybe the devs just weren't thinking it (we) would last long enough for it to matter
