Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Howdy.

I am looking for a software vocal processor that can change your voice, for vocal effects that a chum of mine wants for his video production. I need something that can use a standard USB microphone, and change the characteristics of the sound, so that the voice sounds different.

Do any members here have any links to anything that can do that?
He's happy to pay for it, if it does as advertised.

EDIT: I should mention at this point, that it needs to be able to do it 'Live', as he wants to pipe this into the sound for the stage during performance, so a software that can convert a FILE of sound, is not going to work - it has to be able to process the change on-the-fly.Edited by Grogster 2019-04-19

Have a look here 4 real time voice changers

I build in one years ago from one the old electronic mag's. I'd have to see
if I can find it in storage. I have some going as far back as 1944's so it
may take a bit. As you know when looking one gets lost reading these.

Or something like these might do.

KOKITEA Live Sound Card, Voice changer device

this looks more like what I built

Hey Graeme,

If computer based is an option, there is the free Audacity Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)

There's all kinds of FX plugins to do pretty much anything.
