Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I'm confused about the commands for locating a print result on the display.

In the 4.5 manual I see {PRINT @(x,y,m) expression}.

In the 5.05 manual I see {CURSOR x,y} and {PRINT expression}, but {PRINT @} is missing.

Which or these will survive in future versions? Which will work in DOS, which in the F4?

(I hope PRINT @(x,y,m) is the survivor.)

Paul are you confusing the Maximite graphics in ver 4.5 with the Micromite Plus graphics. I so they are not related.

- The Maximite has PRINT @(x,y,m)
- The DOS/Windows MMBasic has CURSOR x,y
- The Micromite has the TEXT command.

They are different platforms with different requirements.

I am working on an update to the Maximite (a BIG job) to bring the BASIC interpreter up to V5.05 but I hope to keep all the peripheral commands (like @(x,y,m)) unchanged so that feature should still be in the new version. I don't have plans to put @(x,y,m) in the DOS/Windows version.Edited by Geoffg 2019-07-10

Do you mean the Armmite F4? If so that is a effectively a Micromite and uses the TEXT command. This has nothing to do with the work Geoff is doing on the Maximite. I maintain the Armmite code and keep it largely in-line with Geoff's Micromite versionsEdited by matherp 2019-07-10
