Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have NO right-click menu, or even left-click options from the main menu bar since the latest W10 update.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I have a dual-monitor setup, but if I left-click any menu item, or right-click a line in Calc, all I get is an EXTREMELY compacted window on the other monitor.

Here is what it looks like:

There is NOTHING you can choose from here....

If I move the LibreOffice window to the other monitor and try again, all I get again, is this TINY window on the same monitor that Calc is now running.

Because of this problem, I cannot even check what the current version of Libre Office is.  If I click on the HELP menu item, all I get is the above, so I am really stuck.

It was fine before the latest W10 updates.

Is anyone else seeing this?
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hi Grogs

If it were me I would revert the update & let it try again. Something has got lost in the event chain.

My Libra Office is ok, but I see Classic Shell is now broken.

You have a fair amount of company...

It's sad - MS could have a really good product if they would only stop the seemingly ceaseless uncontrollable updates. Win 10 is noticeably faster than Win 7, & it runs really well on 10-year old hardware, mostly with NO driver issues. I've upgraded a lot of bespoke client laptops to Win 10 with excellent results (currently working on another 2). Clients are VERY happy.

So what about controlling the updates? Check https://www.carifred.com/wau_manager/ for "WAU Manager" - this app works a treat. It puts you in complete control of what & when updates happen - & it's donate-ware (reminder to Glenn) . Probably MS will see how good it is & come up with a "fix" to disable it, but for now...

P.S. It also works on Win 7/8.

@ Glenn: Yes, the classic-shell has reverted back to windows start menu.  As I understand it, this is why Classic Shell is not being developed anymore and is now being developed by another group calling it OpenShell.  Classic Shell developers said that the windows updates seemed to specifically target Classic Shell and break it with each new update.  It would seem MS don't want you to use the shell of your choice, only their one....

I uninstalled LibreOffice, downloaded the latest version and installed that, and this seems to be working - for now.  I think I will turn off the updates using the app that BrianP has linked me to before - last time I was moaning about the LAST W10 update breaking something, if I recall correctly.....

W10 STILL insists on updating, despite my installing and activating WAU:

Note that WAU is enabled, and the build in Windoze automatic updater is SUPPOSEDLY disabled, so that WAU can control things.

However this morning, I get the usual pop-up from Windoze wanting to restart to install the latest update.......

Huh?

Bugger!
As yet I've not noticed any of the several machines I've put WAU on do any updates - all benign.
Maybe there was something in progress before you installed WAU. if so then that would complete. I guess we'll have to see what happens next...
Fingers & toes crossed...

[EDIT}
It might be that MS will still push any security related updates, but not any new feature versions...
Can you advise what update was installed?
