Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

All jokes aside, congrats to all concerned for the successful launch.
Woke up a bit late to see it, but saw short replay.
Currently watching NASA's live coverage.

There was a TBS member who lived down the road from Cape Canaveral launch site, can't remember who it was.

You guys are all youngsters. When Neil Armstrong stepped off the lander I was on a ramp at JFK wrestling with a recalcitrant Delco Carousel INS unit in the left seat of a 747 aircraft while listening to the NASA audio on an ADF receiver. I never did get the INS platform to erect properly and had to replace the unit. I remember thinking that the Carousel INS in Apollo 11 had worked better than the sick one in the aircraft I was in.
