Following on from his original CMM2 review, The 8-Bit Guy's latest seemingly unrelated video "What does a computer mouse see?", also features the CMM2 being used in a very practical way. Taking advantage of the CMM2's abilities for general hardware hacking! CMM2 content starts at 7:14 What does a computer mouse see? (7:14) Awesome stuff, and more great exposure for the CMM2 in a real world use case as a useful hardware hackers platform, instead of the usual approach of wiring up an Arduino (together with an LCD display module etc). |

Thanks for the heads up. He was using SPI to talk to the sensor. The CMM2 (and the Micromites) have a wide range of communication protocols built-in and that is a very useful feature. The other day I experimenting with driving a clock movement that needed a one second pulse with a very specific pulse width - something that was so easy to do in a minute or two with the CMM2.
