Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello guys,

I am planning to get one of these:

https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=EG2364-ND

However, are there specific instructions on how to solder this type of switch?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Not really they are very straight forward..

Position the switch and tack solder the front legs whilst holding it flat and square on the pcb

If happy solder the back one of the curved legs and check alignment again.. if ok solder one of the front legs and another check then solder all the legs..

It is a very easy process and takes less than a minute..

Regards,

Mick

It literally took me longer to desolder the small wire jumper out that was on my board forcing it to always be on than it did to install the switch...
