Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi!

I add a fan to my CMM2 case.

Connected to pin 40 and ground.

I start / stop with software

Not a very necessary.... just for fun!!!

My normal working temperature are 50~52 C

When I start the fan, down to 47 C.

Pin 40 is used to reset the options and clear memory if pulled low on boot. Your wiring may be pulling pin 40 low through the coil on the fan. Suggest you use any other pin.

I hope you have some kind of driver on that fan and are not just directly connected to the I/O pin.

Cute addition, but the CMM2 does not require active cooling, or even passive cooling, so I am trying to understand WHY you did it.  Is it just to make it look cool?

Pun intended....
