Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Would it be possible to implement a CTRL/ALT DEL soft reset of the Maximite to reset the mmbasic to some point after a lockup? Cycling power is a pain and the reset button on the single board version requires a disassembly of the case to use. Just an thought/idea/request to consider.

What makes cycling the power a pain? The CMM2 reboots in a few seconds.

Do you have a power switch installed, or do you need to yank and reinsert the USB power cord (which is indeed a pain...)?

The idea is good but doesn't work. If the CPU has crashed it is not going to be processing the keyboard or serial port so wouldn't see the sequence

It means getting my fat butt off the couch. It's not a time thing, it would just be better to press a few keys. If a simple software change can add this feature why not? It also reduces the wear on the electronics (not that this is a big issue now).

Why the resistance to it if it can be done easily?

matherp, thanks for the consideration. I thought the keyboard routines were part of the interrupt structure. I see your point.
