Is this a single directory, or can you have multiple directories? If so, how to delimit between directories?

It's definitely not recursive (I tried yesterday).  

If I want to use a program from the path but keep it in its own folder, I create a launcher / shortcut in the path so I can use with *.  

I use this for things like Xedit, Hexedit, Napoleon Commander, xdel  and other utils like my quick project creator

Does anyone else have a list of "killer" apps/utils for their path?
