Hi All I got my parts Friday as it were , I will never order from NEWARK again if it Kills me, all my parts were dumped in a box with no packing and Crushed, but I HAD to Build this VGA Board even with a Broken Elbow. so I'm moving along at the speed of Smell, and I've run out of parts, I'm make a run to Mouser (ABOUT AN HOUR EACH WAY) ![]() hopefully in a day or 2 to get the rest of what I need :) But my Questions are can I use these kind of caps seen circled in red for c25 and C26 instead of the ones shown in the build pic? ![]() Also can put the Pico in the position shown? my goal is to run a MICRO USB TO PANNEL MOUNT USB B so I don't have to plug and unplug the pico for every update as the Micro USB is the point of Failure another question Is there a central software repository for programs others have written for the Picomite and the CMM2? Thanks in Advance Rickard I may be Vulgar, but , while I'm poor, I'm Industrious, Honest, and trustworthy! I Know my Place |

- Ceramic capacitors are 'not preferred' for audio use but should be OK. - According to the schematic, all three Pico connectors are in parallel so that should be OK. - Not to my knowledge. Bill Keep safe. Live long and prosper. |

FYI the audio coming out of that board is line level audio. You can connect 32 ohm headphones to the 3 pin header, but the audio volume is low. I had a discussion about this with Peter and Mick (Mixtel) a week or two back on this forum. There are some PicoMite programs listed on this forum, but not many games. If you Google ‘the8bitguy maximite Tetris’, the second hit let’s you download the Tetris game. You just need to enter OPTION Legacy ON as the first line of the program and change the Mode command to Mode 2. The game runs fine after those changes. There is no central repository for PicoMite programs - this is really needed IMHO. For CMM2 programs, there is a repository at CMM2.fun |

I haven’t dealt with Newark for many years, but they seem to be the only US distributor with stock of the recommended case for the PicoMite and CMM2 - the Multicomp G738A. I usually get most of my parts from Mouser |

There are a few links in the "Some Games/Puzzles/Utilities/Functions" section here, but it's far from all-inclusive. These are for an LCD, not the VGA, but it might not be hard to switch. (Anyone can update the Fruitoftheshed page if they find/create additional.) ~ Edited 2022-04-12 10:43 by lizby PicoMite, Armmite F4, SensorKits, MMBasic Hardware, Games, etc. on fruitoftheshed |
