Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Can someone tell me how do you test the RTC on the PM VGA ? I found an RTC Module in my Arduino parts box not sure of it's status
Thanks in advance

Install the battery
Use the date$ and time$ to set the date and time
Enter Option RTC Auto Enable
Kill the power on your system
? Date$ Time$ to confirm the date and time was retained

Warning: If you installed a Lithium CR2032 battery, you’ll need to use a soldering iron to remove the glass diode from your RTC module. This will prevent the module from trying to charge the battery - which would overheat the battery.

Ok, please ignore my statement about removing the glass diode - it doesn’t apply in your case.
