Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I just completed a Kicad design for a Picomite data collection board.  I looked at 4 vendors before sending it to JLCPCB because of their newbie coupons.  What are the forums members preferences or peeves among vendors?  I will be making more designs so your input/experiences is requested and valued.  Thanks, k2

I'm not in the US so my comments may be irrelevant.

I searched around and couldn't find a single UK PCB house that could get to anything as low as three times the price of JLCPCB and had waiting times similar to the shipping time from China. I also found that prices shot up exponentially as your selected processing time got shorter so fast prototyping was very expensive. It's not the same if you want 10,000 boards per year, of course.

I been using JLC because I can not get anything done for near the time / price point of JLC and their Quality is GREAT. I live in Dallas / Richardson I can spit and hit TI when I got out of College this was the Silicon Prairie and ANY IDIOT could get a job in Tech, Me I worked for MOSTEK, and now we can't sing up 5 pcbs delivered for $20 in 6 days in the USA

I agree with comments about JLCPCB. The discounts are not just for newbies--I've ordered dozens of boards and still get the $2 price for 5 (max 100mm x 100mm). Add in slow boat shipping and 50 cents for paypal payment and I'm paying $6.38. Slow delivery is the drawback, but I've received boards in as little as 17 days. It's not exactly rapid turn-around, but for my purposes, it's fine.

Another option for very small boards is oshpark.com--3 boards for $5 per square inch with free shipping in the U.S. Delivery may be a little quicker than JLCPCB, but not necessarily.

I used them for 500 boards which had a panel 3 for 1500 project boards.
All of them great. I use DHL that is costly but when spread across all boards
not too bad. Had them with in a week.
