Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

An equivalent to the usual SMD socket used on the CMM2 etc. appears to be available on ebay under the part number PJ-328. They are physically identical and look ok. I have some here and they drop into the PCB exactly as intended. The diagram in the adverts shows pins 4 and 5 (the switch contacts) reversed, but I think that's only numbers.

Usual 3.5mm Stereo Socket.
Switchcraft 35RASMT4BHNTRX (RS 705-1490, Mouser 502-35RASMT4BHNTRX).

EDIT:
Just tested it and it behaves as expected. At less than 1UKP each these seem to be a good alternative.

These are sold on ebay, sourced from China. They are also available from Amazon in the UK. Mine were on next day delivery. :)
