Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

G'day all,
At the bottom of this thread there was mention of GUI commands having to make way for Pico-W performance - and fair enough too.
I'm trying to re-write a substantial (for me) program for the Pico-W so that it has GUI-like features without using GUI.

In the document Getting Started with the Micromite Geoff details one way to do it (eg pages 84+)!

Although written just a over a year ago, in the pre-Pico era, is that still 'the way to go'?

Cheers,

Andrew

I've not used them on the Pico but on the MM2, pretty much a copy and paste, and a modified version on the CMM1 (with mouse not touch).

I see no reason that it's not still 'the way to go' Geoff has used that method in many projects as per the list of 'Example Programs'.

Thanks Bill.
Certainly NOT doubting Geoff but just doing a sanity check before embarking on 'several' days of work. I've used Geoff's code for this pre-GUI and it works a treat.

Cheers,

Andrew
