Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I hadn't realised how useful the Webmite might be in "just" command mode, nor that you could use a mobile as a serial terminal (I know - I must get out more)

I'd never gone there with the PicoW as I dont have a use case.  But this video made me re-look at it for using in my art installation idea (started life with Game of Life in another thread).

Having a PicoW + VGA would mean I could "program in place" and update remotley.

Off to ponder / tinker.

Hi all

Have noticed something about the relationship between Google , Youtube and your home browsing.

When looking to solve a particular problem, which has happened in different fields,
more Youtube videos appear on our TV browsing of that very subject.
Usually before my wife is ready to watch her shows, I get at the TV for about an hour and
usually head straight to Youtube to look at interesting clips.

The fastest that video clips have emerged has been about 1 hour after I stop for Beer-O'clock
and shut down the computer for a while.

I know the idea of smart TV's is to preempt what you want to watch, but they are actually
collecting my browsing on a totally different platform but same IP.

The subject matter was way to broad to be a co-incidence and I would also hazard to guess
that if you watch Youtube at the same time, you don't see the same articles.

So, I guess "DO NOT TRACK" does not work.

Regards

EDIT: I use Brave browser on Debian Bookworm and get cute little messages telling me
how many trackers they have blocked.

As far as I know "do not track" has never worked, since it was voluntary.  :(

When I am contemplating, during coding, I often pick-up my "thinking stick" (guitar).

I'll start playing/singing my own rendition of some obscure song that I haven't heard since forever and, wouldn't-you-know, that song, very often shows up on my YouTube suggestions. It's incredible because my renditions can be totally different (better ) but nonetheless, Google is listening and figuring it out.
