Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

G'Day Guy's,
Well I won this printer at auction for a grand total of $12.50   and man with it weighing 50kg's it was fun to move.

Now when setting this up this morning my win10 laptop refused to let me use it where it did show the name of the network but said this was metered connection and the only option was remove.

Now downloading the drivers off the Ricoh site didn't work and I had to go with search for printers which took ages and finally picked a driver and got it going.

It does have a USB connection so that was connected to my laptop along with that USB/network dongle I bought so that has come into it's own. Now I did decide to see which one was actually using the printer so went with an image to print with the USB out no go then tried with the network dongle removed no go so it does look like both have to be connected.

Now looking at the screen on the printer it keeps saying DCHP wasn't resolved and this after I put in the IP address of the printer.

Anyway got the printer to print and it does do a full colour print with great detail but there does look to be a dirty roller that put a line about 10mm from the top of the page. So I would guess it's never been cleaned so it should be an easy fix but this networking issue does need to be resolved as this printer will be going on the network with that ubi route.

Regards Bryan
