The PicoMite firmware would run on it, but it would not support HDMI and probably not most of its other features.  Olimex mention that they have a schematic, but it is not available for download so you would be flying blind.

Schematic is here on Github.
Interesting that it uses the same pins as the HSTX for HDMI. I suspect it's come from the earlier HDMI stuff that was done for the RP2040.

You can't put one in this unless you desolder the RP2040 and solder in a RP2350. A nice exercise in SMD reworking. :)

I'm not sure that I see the point in emulating an Apple II, Apple IIe or Oric Atmos TBH. It strikes me as being a "because it's there" sort of a thing.

Heathen!  ;)
How dare you say that to people who love their Speccy (crummy graphics and sound notwithstanding). :)

Those games were great. For a start they were (mostly) affordable, not sold in expensive cartridges. The machine itself was within reach of a heck of a lot of families. There are some very playable games on that platform. There are compromises for cheap computers - there have to be - but I think they were made in the right places.

I have a Pico running CP/M if you fancy playing Colossal Cave. :)

Mick, don't get me wrong, speccy was amazing at the time. I wrote a few games for it.

there's been some good vga demos using trig and some seem 3d.
there was a 3d trig function that rotated matrices in mmbasic but no one posted results. someone posted where's elite? indeed, could it be done? I only played it on zx spectrum and found it boring even though the 3d graphics were "better" than bbc micro

It will be a separate PDF in the final firmware download.

geoff, it was in the manual but no feedback about and can't find it. thinking of rotating rocks that was new cos no one had done it. if I studied trig and googled 3d graphics then might do something but if there's a function then why reinvent the wheel?
