Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi,
i have this Magneto already used on other platforms and it worked there quite well, so -in theory- i know how to handle it, but i´m currently being stuck transforming it to the PM (already saw some PM-examples).
Before i go deeper into this issue, i´d like to kindly ask for a working example for the PM including calibration routines. I have already written myself for the PM both calibration and handling routines, but the outcome doesn´t work as expected - jumps instantly from 0 to 80 degrees and things like that- i also think that it could have something to do with the conversion between 16 Bit unsigned integers, as the Magneto delivers, into signed integers and the following handling/conversion of those values. In principle its more or less simple, but doesn´t work here as expected.
To re-check if my magneto has some general issues, I also would greatly appreciate it, if someone would share their measured minimum / maximum -raw- values for the X and Y Axis (flat magneto, set to 8G, running on 3.3V) for comparison. In this mode, my magneto delivers (raw unsigned int) Values in the range from about 63500 up to 600 for the X-Axis and 800 to 1300 for the Y-Axis, means that the X Axis alone has twice the resolution of the Y-Axis - and the raw values look to me -very- low in their range.
Thank you & best regards! Stef Edited 2024-12-16 18:23 by stef123
