Hi all. ![]() I need some 204-pin DDR3 SO_DIMM modules for an older machine. 8GB would be perfect, but it has to be the OLDER DDR3 modules - NOT the DDR3L low-voltage ones, which are very easy to get - even brand new. Can anyone help? Motherboard is Intel Mini-ITX Desktop Board, model # D525MW. Embedded Intel ATOM CPU with passive heatsink. Current board is giving all kinds of "Bad RAM" errors, so I want to try another RAM stick in it, but old SO_DIMM DDR3 is quite old......and hard to find now. IMPOSSIBLE to find new. ![]() EDIT: This board is old enough that it only supports 4GB of RAM, so ignore what I said above about 8GB. A 4GB SO_DIMM RAM stick is what I am looking for. DDR3 (not DDR3L) 8GB is not very common, but Aliexpress is littered with them. ![]() Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

according to: https://datasheet.octopart.com/BOXD525MW-Intel-datasheet-11897591.pdf there should be TWO sodimm slots, with indeed a maximum of 4gb. best performance will likely come from TWO sodimms each of 2gb. see: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/computers/components/memory-ram/2gb/listing/5383633571 (3 sticks, $6/ea, $7 postage) and: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/computers/components/memory-ram/2gb/listing/5384941241 (lots @$7.50/ea, $12 shipping) full search on trademe: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/computers/components/memory-ram/search?search_string=sodimm%20ddr3&sort_order=priceasc cheers, rob :-) |

I'd check the specs, pretty sure it takes a max of 4GB, ie 2 x 2GB modules. I had to upgrade my D525 board/processor a few years ago when 4GB wasn't enough ram for my system. ymmv |
